What is Daycard?

Daycard is a platform that connects photographers with local businesses that want photos taken. Photographers post their Instagram username and the amount they would want to be paid for a day's work. A business willing to pay that is put in touch with them, and the two of them arrange the day of the shoot and payment in Instagram DMs.

Is Daycard free?

Yes. Daycard takes no commission, there is no contract and there is no end date.

How do photographers get paid?

Payment is handled privately between the business and the photographer. Daycard never holds the money and is not part of the arrangement. Cash, transfer, whatever they agree on.

How do photographers get listed?

On the photographers page, post your Instagram username and your desired day rate. Daycard then sends you a link by DM to confirm the account is yours. That is your secret link (don't share it), for you to make changes to your listing, such as your day rate.

How do businesses hire a photographer?

On the clients page, tell us what you need: the shoot, the date and the budget. We will come back with photographers who work at that rate. From there you message the photographer on Instagram yourself.

My employer does not allow side work. Can I still list?

Please check your employer's rules first. Your listing is public, because a business has to be able to find you. Your Instagram handle and your number are visible to anyone. Daycard never contacts your employer, but it cannot hide the page either. If you list and then change your mind, take it down from your link at any time.
