Terms & Privacy
The short version: this is a list of photographers and what they charge. We are not part of your booking, and we hold no more about you than the list needs to work.
What this site is
Daycard is a directory. Photographers post their Instagram handle and their day rate, clients read the list and message them on Instagram. If you send us an enquiry and we come back with names, those are still names off the same list: nobody has hired us, and we take no fee from either side. We are not an agency and we are not a party to anything you agree with each other. No money passes through this site.
Nobody is vetted
Anyone can list themselves. We do not check anyone's work, whether they are any good, whether they are available, or whether the rate they posted is the rate they will quote you. Their Instagram is the portfolio; judge it yourself.
Disputes are yours
Whatever a client and a photographer agree is between the two of them: the shoot, the fee, the delivery, the licence, and anything that goes wrong. If the photos never arrive, or the shoot is not what was promised, or money changes hands and nothing comes back, that is yours to settle with the person you hired. We hold no money on anyone's behalf, so there is nothing here to refund, release or hold back. We will not mediate and we are not liable for any of it. If a listing is not who it says it is, tell us and we will take it down.
Your listing is yours
A listing is managed from the secret link we DM you. Change your rate or take the listing down from that link, at any time. Taking it down clears your rate and retires the link, so that one press is the whole of leaving; list yourself again and we send a new link to the same account.
What we hold
For a listing: the Instagram handle, the day rate, the city, when it was created and last changed, and a hash of the secret link. The link itself is never stored, so a copy of our database cannot edit anyone's rate.
For an enquiry: everything you typed into the form, including your company, your role, your email address and your phone number.
We use it for two things and nothing else: publishing the directory, and contacting you about your own listing or enquiry. We do not sell it and we do not hand it to advertisers.
Cookies and tracking
One cookie on the public pages. Press the language picker in the footer and we store lang so you get the same language next time. Press nothing and nothing is stored. There is no analytics, no advertising tag, and no attempt to work out who you are.
The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so opening a page tells Google your IP address. Nothing else on the page talks to anyone but us.
If we invited you
When we approach a photographer, we sometimes create the row before the DM goes out, holding nothing but the public handle. It is not published and nobody but us can see it. It becomes a listing only when the owner opens the link and confirms. If you would rather not be here at all, say so in a DM and we will delete it.
Ask us for it, or ask us to delete it
A listing is yours to change or take down from your link, and everything we hold about it is on the listing itself, already public. An enquiry is what you typed into the form. There is no account to log into and no form to fill in.
